We want you and every member of your family to know how to maintain your oral health. Follow some tips below to understand the basics of dental care habits you need to do at home.
Brushing Tips
TIP 1: Place your soft toothbrush at a 45-degree angle to your gum of the upper and lower teeth. Move the toothbrush in a back and forth motion and repeat for each tooth.
TIP 2: Brush gently in a circular motion and inside surface of each tooth, using the same back and forth technique.
TIP 3: Brush the outside surfaces of the teeth. Do the same for the backs of the teeth and chewing surfaces of each tooth.
TIP 4: Use the tip of your brush for the inner surface of your front teeth and brush the tongue to remove bacteria on the surface to reduce bad breath.
Flossing Tips
TIP 1: Wind about 18 inches of floss around your middle fingers and rest it across your thumbs and index fingers. It should be wrapped around one finger, and the other finger.
TIP 2: Use your thumbs and forefingers to guide about one inch of floss between your teeth.
TIP 3: Holding the floss tightly around each tooth in a C shape and gently slide it beneath your gums.
TIP 4: Slide the floss up and down, repeating for each tooth.
